Born and raised on the road/New York City, Steve Alderfer was exposed to music early on by his parents through various musical theatre productions. This progressed to acting where Steve became influenced by Paul Newman and Daniel Day Lewis (among others) prompting him to move to Los Angeles. Immediately he found himself acting in movies and TV shows such as C.S.I.: New York and General Hospital. As a multi instrumentalist (drums, bass, vocals and guitar), the impact of Phil Lynott and Mark Sandman helped steer him towards bass filling the much-needed position in the LA music community. This lead to Steve playing in the band The Distants and following the tragic suicide of his guitarist, David Kelly, Steve joined forces with The Sweet Kill to help raise awareness against self hatred within today’s commonly self obsessed society. On the silver screen or playing live with The Sweet Kill, you will find Steve executing performances to the extreme.
