Shawn Mrazek was born to play the drums. From an early age he found himself banging out beats in his basement along to recordings of John Bonham of Led Zeppelin and Stewart Copeland of The Police. Having invested so much time and precision to the craft of drumming, Shawn began playing jazz in highschool and University where he met Pete Mills. Having traveled across Canada winning national jazz awards Shawn and Pete began playing in Vancouver’s premier punk band, Flash Bastard. After their break up Shawn wound up touring North America and Europe with countless number of bands as well as singing and drumming in his own band Notes From Underground. These tours of duty had Shawn playing venues from sold out stadiums to packed clubs. Shortly there after Shawn was asked to join Pete’s new band Dirty Blonde and upon the tragic death of singer, Toni Forbes, he regrouped and becoming a master educator at the Tom Lee Music Academy, R&R School Of Music, as well as opening his own academy: "Shawn Mrazek's School Of Drumming". Paralleling his teaching Shawn became a session drummer for all of producer Pete Mills' recordings including P Diddy, Godhead and Soulkid1 as well as providing the rhythmic force behind The Sweet Kill. Recently Shawn started his own solo project Shawn Mrazek Lives!, performs with Canadian cult hero "Nardwaur and The Evaporators" and completed yet another recording session with Pete for The Sweet Kill's forth coming "Suicide EP". Shawn is a dynamic player comfortable working in any musical setting and genre from arena rock to jazz. One of the most sought after drummers in Canada, Shawn humbly rocks all day, every day, elevating any musical endeavor to the next level.
