Her mother remarried, and ever since then Marta was fortunate to be raised by two very supportive parents. Growing up an athlete, and very involved in theater and music, Marta graduated with scholarships to Vancouver Film School. After a full year acting she realized that music was her passion going hand in hand with performing. Being influenced by synthesizer visionaries Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, and Madonna she started playing keyboards in pop/electro bands and soon found herself on tour with The Killers, Tegan & Sara, & Chromeo and briefly crossed paths with guitarist Pete Mills and singer Toni Forbes of electro band Dirty Blonde. After a brief relationship with Toni, Marta went on to play for the electropop group, The No No Spots. Marta remixed Ladytrons song “Runaway” which garnered her critically acclaimed reviews aswell as produced for celebrities such as Onch Movement from Paris Hiltons My New BFF. Drawn to the turntables under the moniker affectionately known as "Fembot", Marta became an innovator and a trendsetter among female DJs. On top of that she has re-connected with Pete and decided to finalize The Sweet Kills line-up as the bands keyboardist.
